They may also experience related phobias, such as thanatophobia (the fear of death), nyctophobia (the fear of night or darkness), or sciophobia (the fear of shadows). WebbSciophobia is the irrational fear of shadows. Someone experiencing this condition may experience extremely intense amounts of anxiety as a result of their fear. Their sciophobia may dictate major decisions they make in their day to day life such as choosing to not go outside in the daylight much in fear that they may come across a shadow.
