I don't really care for the Windows 10 start menu, but I haven't found an alternative I really consider suitable. Open Shell is a good Win7 clone, but it made me realize the Win7 start menu wasn't much better. Loads of system options, but the apps are all in a menu, and random ones fill the recently used. YMMV.
