Yes, Volumio has a fuller sound, but is comparatively lifeless, with less sparkle and slam. Naturally, YMMV. I have a hard time with the concept of a digital player having it's own "sound". ... I tested on a portable computer and found it ok for my tastes, and the bought a 35$ "card" with Intel CPU on it, the Atomic Pi. ... Other info: I also made sure to unmute the Master, Headphone, Front, Surround, Center and LFE columns, but it's only when I unmuted Line that sound … WebJul 30, 2013 · When I power up Daphile the DAC shows 44.1 kHz sampling rate at first, then it shows DSD modus, that is when the hissing sound starts coming out of the speakers. I run Daphile with DRC upsampling everything to 96 kHz. After a while the hissing sound stops and my DAC shows 96 kHz sampling frequency.
